Prophet Charles Ariyo Oke, General Superintendent of the Mystery of Godliness Mission International is on a visit to Jordan. He arrived Amman, the capital city of Jordan four days ago. In his words, “this country works and it is blessed by God Almighty. It has law and order, excellent infrastructure and the people are secured and have a government that is compassion and seeking ways to improve the lots of the citizens”.

Continuing, he pointed out that the fact that the country has a 10% population as Christians means that there is ample and urgent work to be done. As we have been instructed by our Saviour to “occupy till I come” (Luke 19 v 13), Prophet Ariyo opined that indeed the harvest is ripe and plenty but there must be willing and ready servants who will go into the fields to harvest souls for Jesus Christ.
“To harvest souls for Christ will mean and require one to be ready and committed doing all that it takes including risking ones’ life, comfort and resources in the service to attain this goal”.
According to him, churches are allowed to operate but they must do so indoors. These are some of the challenges that can limit how much persons can reach people there with the good news gospel and win them for Christ.
“However, these challenges equally represent immense opportunities if one is passionate and jealous concerning the work of Christ.
“Yes, Christianity is a walk and work with Christ in comfortable and uncomfortable times, in season and out of season and the readiness to pay the price, however hard and difficult”, Prophet Ariyo admonished in a passionate and inviting manner.

One piece of information that awed this reporter is the fact that the man of God undertook this mission from personal finances to the extent of emptying his bank account. In an emotional reflection, he noted that when he was departing the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria, he was unable to “dash” his last son, John, a token as it is his tradition whenever he is traveling abroad for mission work. In an emotion-laden voice, he told the son, “John, I love you but I have nothing left to part with this time”. What an act of total sacrifice and commitment to the task of winning souls for the Kingdom! No doubt, Christians can and should be encouraged by these exemplary and selfless actions.
Today, the 25th of August 2021, the man of God and his wife, Mrs. Janet Ariyo Oke who accompanied him on this mission climbed Mount Nebo to pray for Jordan, Nigeria, the church of God and humanity. He enthused that just as Mount Nebo was significant in several ways in the ministry of Moses and the journey of the children of Israel to the Promised Land, the prayers of his team will be fervent and effective with signs, wonders and undeniable manifestations. What an infectious faith! Hallelujah!
