It was a tragic home coming for Bola Aworetan, a UK based woman who came few weeks ago to perform final burial rites for her late mum in Ibadan,Oyo State capital.
Bola had after the burial, which took place July 23 at the Civic Centre, Agodi, Ibadan decided to have some rest in her home town before her return journey to London. .

With her children she stayed for three weeks savouring the city.
However,on Thursday August 19,she embarked on her return journey to London but the journey was cut short as unknown person’s suspected to be assassin’s ambushed her on the road while going to board her flight back to London and shot her in the presence of her innocent children.
According to a friend of hers who reacted on Facebook,she stayed so long after the burial so she could rest.
The friend who claimed to have known the deceased for 22 years said she died from the gun shot wounds and has been was buried
“She apparently had been attacked by assassin’s”the friend wrote.
According to sources,She is in an enstranged relationship with her husband. They are separated.
She has 3 kids for him with the eldest at 17+ she disclosed
What a sad story.
As at the time of filling this report, the police in Oyo state where the crime was committed are yet to speak.
