Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court, Abuja has signed papers containing the release order, freeing four of the 12 arrested aides of the embattled Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, after 53 days in the detention facility of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The detainees’ lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, made this disclosure on Monday, coonfiring that the presiding judge, Justice Egwuatu, signed the release order of four detained aides of Igboho.
The names of the four aides are Amudat Babatunde, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Oyetunji, and Bamidele Sunday.
The lawyer further added that the release warrant of the remaining eight could not be signed on Monday as about three sureties withdrew during the process.
The eight detainees are Abdullateef Onaolapo, Tajudeen Irinloye, Dikeola Ademola, Ayobami Donald, Uthman Adelabu, Olakunle Oluwapelumi, Raji Kazeem, and Taiwo Tajudeen.
Olajengbesi, however, expressed optimism that the three sureties that pulled out would be replaced and the judge would sign their Release Order too.
This is coming after the DSS had filed a remand application at the Federal High Court in Abuja, against four of the 12 arrested aides of Igboho days after the Court granted them bail.
