The Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba has described late Okabiyi Furijaye as a true Patriot who served diligently and display rare Yoruba Omoluabi virtues.
This was contained in a condolence message signed by Bayo Aina for the socio cultural group.
The group describe the late Senator as a leader who for more than four decades bestride the public space as a corporate lawyer,Banker and politician.

With total submission to the will of the almighty , Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba announce the call to glory of our acting National Leader Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, Akolawolu of Ijebu Igbo which sad but glorious event occurred early today Tuesday 24th August 2021 following a brief illness.
For more than four decades, Senator Durojaiye bestrode the public space as a corporate lawyer , Central Banker, Politician, Senator and lately as the acting National Leader of Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba, following the death of pa Senator Ayo Fasanmi in July 2020.
He will be remembered as the man who successfully and seamlessly handled the most comprehensive change of the national currency in 1984.
A presidential aspirant during the failed Babangida transition Senator Durojaiye unreservedly threw himself to the actualisation of the June 12 mandate and he paid dearly for this as he was wickedly detained and only got a reprieve at the onset of the current Republic.
Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye selflessly and totally devoted himself to the promotion of transparency accountability fairness equity and all virtues of the omoluabi ethos throughout his career .
His tenure as the acting leader of Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba was dedicated to the promotion of harmony and the building of consensus among the yoruba leaders in their quest to protect and promote the welfare of Yoruba people not only in Nigeria but globally.
Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, the Akolawolu of Ijebu Igbo left the scene at a time when Yoruba and indeed Nigeria would have greatly benefitted from his calm temperament and deep wisdom . Baba Durojaiye will be sorely missed .
