National crisis:Obasanjo, Sultan, AbdulSalam, others to meet Thursday

In a move which is a departure from his letter writing style to those in government, former President Olusegun Obasanjo,has changed style by bringing together eminent Nigerians to suggest solutions to the myriad of problems besetting the country.
Hence on Thursday June 10, prominent leaders will gather in Abuja to offer solutions.

Among prominent leaders expected are Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar; former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former Catholic archbishop of Abuja, John Onaiyekan, will be meeting Thursday to discuss the way forward to the pressing issues in the country.

The meeting which is convened by The Interfaith Initiatives for Peace is scheduled to hold at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
Details of the letter:
“I am pleased to invite you on behalf of Interfaith Initiatives for Peace jointly led by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Mohammad Sa’ad Abubakar and His Eminence John Cardinal Onaiyekan, National Peace Committee chaired by General Abdulsalami Abubakar and Socio-cultural Consultative Committee convened by me and all these bodies called Committee of Goodness of Nigeria, CJN, to an exploratory meeting on pressing issues of national unity, security, peace, integration, economic revitalization and development, women and youth welfare and general progress,” a letter addressed to Ayuba Wabba, president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), reads.
