Governor of Ondo state,Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has described Sundays attack on Igangan community by Fulanis herdsmen as a provocative onslaught which all Nigerians of goodwill must resist.
In a statement he issued Sunday evening,the chairman of South West Governors Forum said that while security agencies should be allowed to do their to get to the root of the matter.
He announced that a meeting of all commanders of the South West Security Network,Amotekun is being summoned on security in the region with a view to commence joint operation.
He noted that while the evi men perpetrating the violence to plunge the country into chaos will stop at nothing to achieve their goal,all men of goodwill and lovers of freedom to rise up against the current regression into savagery.
He said that the governments in south West are ready to defend their people,their legitimate means of livelihood against both internal and external aggression.
“On the issue there will be no compromise.we call on our people to remain vigilante and report any suspicious move in their communities.
