.. .Says action gives hope of a new Nigeria
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the policeman, Sunday Erhator, who refused to shoot despite assault on him gives hope of a new Nigeria.
The former presidential aspirant on his Twitter handle described the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sunday Erhator, as “new hope of a new Nigeria”.
Atiku said he has “demonstrated the spirit of the envisaged Nigeria Police. One where the Police are the friends of the citizenry.”
According to him, “Officers, such as Mr. Erhator, give us hope that no matter how challenging our present times are, Nigeria will get better and that the labours of our heroes past shall never be in vain.”
Recently, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, commended and honoured him at Lagos house for a rare display of professionalism.
“We thank him for showing patience, decorum and others emulate him,” he had said.
