…It’s good to serve the Lord- Ven Ayeni
‘’Let us safe the world by serving the Almighty God and do the best for humanity in order to be counted amongst His faithful on the day of judgment’’, Ven. Julius Ayeni, Archdeacon Ogbo Archdeaconry, Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State, has advised.
Delivering a sermon at the burial service of Prince Ebenezer Ibitola Adekoya-Osinubi, the late Chief Choirmaster, Organist and Secretary of Obalolade Society of Christ Anglican Church, Okelamuren Ogbo, Ijebu, at the weekend, the cleric noted that the best way one can inherit the Kingdom of God was to be faithful to God and serve humanity.
Extoling the virtues of the late Olotu Omo-Oba of Okelamuren, the priest noted that the la organist spent his time on earth to serve his creator and urged the congregation to emulate the deceased.
Quoting from the Scriptures, Ven. Ayeni noted that the vacuum left behind by the deceased who served as organist for over six decades said there was nothing as good as serving the Creator.
In his tribute, the Vicar described the late Ibitola as ‘’an undiluted Anglican Church member and an organist of the Church for many decades without receiving a Kobo’’.
According to him, ‘’his legacies as an Organist and Parish Secretary and Egbe Ajumogbadura of the Church would ever remain EVERGREEN in the memory and archive of the Church.
‘’Prince was a custodian of the historical archives of the Church at Okelamuren plus that of the entire Community. He was very honest, faithful diligent and his legacy of frank talk would ever be commendable’’, Ven. Ayeni added.
‘’Papa Aluduru, we will continue to miss your generosity and loving kindness and gestures to humanity. You were indeed a good husband, father and grandfather to all of us who came across you while alive’’, the Venerable noted.
