…Police vows to rid State of hooligans
Nineteen hoodlums have been arrested over the mayhem that rendered the Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos prostrate three nights ago.
Cultists has laid siege on the Alakuko, Dalemo, Jankara, Kola areas all towards the Lagos/Ogun border as they wreak havoc on residents through out at the weekend.
Commissioner of Police in Lagos Hakeem Odumosu, while telling Hooligans to keep off the state said his command would not tolerate acts of cultism, robbery and disregard for the laws of the state.
According to Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Lagos PPRO, information revealed that the attackers who laid siege on the Lagos suburbs came from Ota, Ogun State.
He said the development makes it mandatory for the command to work hand in hand with the Ogun state command of the police to ensure no hiding place for the criminals.
Odumosu had also met all area commanders of the police to deliberate on the growing cases of gang wars in Lagos and how to ensure safety of the residents.
