The authorities of Adekunle Ajasin University has shut down the insitutions main gate after a truvk accident claimed lives of students.
Besides,the management of the University has also
postponed the examination scheduled to begin on January 25 and ordered that the main gate be shut indefinitely.
This was stated by the University acting Registrar, Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa in a statement on Saturday night after a truck incident accident led to the deaths of eight people who were mostly students. Ten other people also sustained various injuries in the accident.
According to the management, shutting the school main gate indefinitely is to guide against incessant accident. While noting it’s great shock over the incident, the management said the decision is a temporary measure.
The management also therefore directed staff and students to make use of the Sports Center gate, Guest House gate and Eastern gate.
