North against restructuring to perpetuate their domination – Odumakin

….Says Amotekun weakened to prevent Yoruba from defending their homeland

He has always been as frank and unsparing in his strong criticism of successive governments in the country. As for him, the refusal of the North to embrace restructuring lies in its ambition to hold on to power and live on others adding that whenever it is out of power, it will turn around to call for secession ‘Araba’ as it did shortly after the take over of government in July 29,1966 after the counter coup that toppled Gen Thomas Aguiyi Ironsi.
Odumakin also contended that for as long as the APC remains in power at the federal level, it will harmonise the party and prevent its division.
He spoke on other national issues in this exclusive interview with Newdawnngr.com.

Excerpts:
Q:What do you make of the renewed killings in South West? Does it has any connection with the 2023 polls?
Answer: The fact of the matter is that Fulani herdsmen and other bandits and criminals have been unleashed on the Yoruba people in the Fulanisation agenda. The way this government pampers these criminals in the last five years have given them a new sense of entitlement and the south west has become like an enemy territory where they ride roughshod on others.

Q:Do you see the Southern nd North Central leaders been able to work together politically in 2023 with their counterparts from South east as it appears they are tired of their relationship with the North?
Answer: I am not so sure that the Southern elements in alliance with the APC owners are not stuck in this ditch and capable of extricating themselves from the political enslavement. I still recall my series titled “Arewa songs of conquest” even before Buhari was sworn in 2015.
It would be the 8th miracle of the world if they are able to secure their freedom from these masters. The South and Middle Belt are clear majority if they get the formula to bind and pursue a liberation agenda for Nigeria.
Q:Why are bandits still killing and kidnapping people in parts of Yorubaland especially in Ondo state that is Amotekun compliance. Dont you think it is an attempt to rubbish the corp and all it stands for?
Answer: There is no doubt that the attacks in South West is partly an agenda to mock Amototekun, which they used their federal might to prevent its effective take off in the unsettled polity. They are not hiding the fact that they would not allow the Yoruba people to protect their homeland. The states where Amotekun is yet to take off are mostly being more surrenderinng to the Fulani domininon for political reasons due to shallow understanding of their agenda and the fact that you can’t pacify this evil.
Q:What do you make of the recent warning by Works Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola to APC leaders not to jettison its zoning plan ahead of 2023 polls?
Answer:The Fashola alarm is nothing but the realization that they have been sucked in and they are just seeing what we saw and have been telling them all these years. Those who deceived their fathers and messed them up politically are not about to open a new page in their master-servant relationship. Not with those who have sold themselves cheapest in history.
Q:Is this a signal of a divided house in the APC?
There is nothing like divided house in anyway. The owner of the game are showing outsiders that carrying brooms around with us does not make you part of us. You don’t become stakeholders because you tag along with us. It is all about drawing the line between the owners of the game and the passengers in the vehicle
Q:Could the party survive the internal schisms and crisis bedevilling it?:
Answer:They may loose some steam but for as long as they hold on to the till, they will hold the party together to perpetuate their iniquity. They are having new converts and decampees who will serve as new tools. It is a vicious cycle of a sort.
Q:What do you make of the revelations and disclosures at the Lagos panel on Lekki killings?
Answer: The panel sittings have turned out serious revelations about all that is wrong with Nigeria. We have seen all the official lies and the picking of the truths in between the lines.
The absolute lack of integrity of Nigerian leaders have been on display and it is appalling that we are governed by the depravity of these men. Even with CNN revelations and Lagos coroner asking the public to come and claim unidentified corpses dropped in its morgue from 19-27 October, the chief liar in officialdom today , Alhaji Lai Mohammed is still talking of massacre without dead bodies even as we wait for the sanctions he will ask NBC to impose on CNN.
Q:Nigeria is in recession again.Do you see her pulling through with the insecurity?
Answer: The truth of the matter is that Nigeria is on auto pilot as there is no serious governance outside borrowing morning and evening and making a mess of public finance. The country is in a perpetual and terminal crisis. Pulling out of this economic crisis would be difficult except they would be pulling propaganda stuff. There is no serious people with economic understanding and ideas in this govt who can navigate this.
Q:In spite of the agitations from different parts of the country without any result,do you see the federal government succumbing to calls for Restructuring?
Answer:The non acceptance of the call for restructuring by the Buhari government is borne out of the fact that Nigeria as is, is the best they can have. All they want is to sit on roughshod of others and be singing ” indivisible” and “indisdoluble” Nigeria. IT is only when they don’t have their way that they say “Araba” (let’s divide it) There are people who believe that cheating others is the only way of life and no other way whereas the best way to run a plural society like Nigeria and have peace and progress is federalism.
