FG stops entry from China, Italy eleven others over Coronavirus

The Federal Government has finally taken the bulls by the horns by announcing travelling restrictions from 13 countries would no longer be allowed to enter Nigeria until the Coronavirus pandemic is over.

Govt. of Nigeria is restricting entry into the country for travellers from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, United States of America, Norway, United Kingdom, Netherlands & Switzerland

These are countries with over 1,000 cases domestically.

This was the decision of the Presidential Task Force which was inaugurated on Tuesday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha who is the head of the presidential task force, the government has also stopped issuance of visas from the countries.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria has also suspended the issuance of visa on arrival to travelers from these countries. All travelers returning from these countries prior to the restriction will be in supervised self-isolation, monitored by NCDC and Port Health Services.
