…Says Buhari has hidden agenda on amnesty for Boko Haram
Chief Kole Omololu, is the Secretary of Yoruba socio cultural group, Afenifere. As a long standing member of the group for the past two decades, he has been involved in its historical development and present evolution.
As for him,the amendment to the Amotekun law by the Lagos state house of assembly is a double edged sword. This he said is tonfavour non Lahpsians who are Yoruba and also cater for those non Yoruba who have a stake in Lagos who have stayed in the metropolis for over 20 years.

He speaks on this raging issue and others in this short interview with Tunde Abatan.Excerpts:
What is your take on the decision of Lagos state house of assembly to amend the Amotekun bill to include recruitment of non Lagosians who have stayed in Lagos for 20years?
In reality Lagos especially the metropolis has grown to be the melting point of Nigeria. All tribes settled in Lagos and have accepted her as their home. Some will want to be burried in Lagos. That to me is home and you will want to protect it.
It is the duty of the authorities to provide a condusive environment. Having long stay residence participate in the security systems is not out of place.
Do you read political motive into it?
We must also be aware that, Yoruba who are not Lagosian are non native as well. But how will the authorities identify 20yrs long stay in an environment when no accurate data and statistics is kept.
How do you see the Bill now before the National Assembly to grant amnesty to repentant Book Haram members and provide overseas education for them?
Unfortunately,a lot of our citizen who are politically blind can not read the handwriting on the walls . This Federal government does not think Nigeria. It is unfortunate. They have a plan that negates greater Nigeria.
What on earth is the rational behind repentant evil doers that the government will be spending quantum amount of money to send them abroad. Do we not have the facilities at home ? There is more to it that meets the eyes . Late General Sank Abacha words on the marble steadily come to mind. ” if insurgency last more than three days, government is behind it”
