In commemoration of 2020 International Women’s Day (IWD), Voice of Ogun Women (VOW), a pressure group of women from Ogun descent or married to Ogun men will on Sunday 8th, March, 2020 meet in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

According to president of VOW, Doyinsola Ogunbiyi, the event which is in partnership with Conference Hotel, Abeokuta and surported by Women Advocate and Research Documentation Centre (WARDC), is organized not just to celebrate the tenacity of women, but also to advance the cause of women.
Ogun State commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Funmi Efuwape, according to the organizer will be at the event as the Special guest of honour. Also billed to attend is executive director WARDC, Dr. Abiola Afolabi-Akiyode and many notable persons.
VOW came into existence in 2019, and convened by Ogunbiyi a three-time commissioner in Ogun State. VOW was set up to ensure that women have a voice in every matter concerning them in the society and government. VOW also seek to help build self-confidence in women in order to realise their purpose in life.
