Days after Akinhami’s death, OGBC’s Director of News Dead

Forty-eight hours after the General Manager of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), Mr. Oludiji Akinhanmi, was laid to rest, his Director of News and Current Affairs, Mr. Wale Aderinale, slumped and died in his home on Sunday morning.
Impeccable sources said Mr. Aderinale was agile Saturday as he drove himself to the anniversary of his secondary School, Methodist Secondary School, Arigbajo Ifo (where he hails from) some 60 kilometers to Abeokuta the Ogun State capital and back to his Abeokuta residence.
The source said Mr. Aderinale was watching a football match with his son Saturday night when he took excuse to attend the rest room but when the son called out for his father and no answer was forth coming; he raised an alarm, which made him and the father to seek medical help.
Hospital sources said, though, the eloquent poet and journalist was brought in dead, suspecting cardiac arrest, he did not have medical records relating to high blood pressure or related medical challenges. A post mortem will disclose the cause of death.
The dust of the internment of his boss had hardly settled and the staff of OGBC are reported to be very apprehensive Sunday morning forcing them to approach traditional leaders of Egbaland for spiritual assistance.
The late news hunter’s family has been visited by the Abeokuta Area Pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church, Rev Adedimeji Adegbesan where both Wale and his wife, the Vice Principal of the African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta and The Zonal Teens Coordinator of the Church, Mrs. Titi Aderinale, are both pastors of the fold.
When contacted, The Abeokuta Zonal Secretary of the Church, Rev. Niyi Alawode said the death of Pastor, Wale Aderinale, a committed member of the fold was shocking and unfortunate. He was the General Secretary of the 2012 Global Leadership Summit organized by an American Gospel Ministry in collaboration with the district of Four Square Gospel Church.
An acknowledged poet and Vice Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Ogun State branch the late Aderinale had published a collection of his poetry, “ THE DEW OF MY SOUL” and “THE AUTHENTIC” written in honor of the former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel while he was State House Correspondent of OGBC at the Governor’s Office.
It was learnt that there will be series of meeting of the family and the Foursquare Gospel Church before  burial arrangement can be announced.
The late OGBC Director of News is survived by his wife, Titi and four children.
