President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday presented 10.33 trillion naira ($33.8 billion) budget for 2020 to lawmakers in the National Assembly.
Upshot reports that the budget is the first spending plan of his second term after he was re-elected in February.
The breakdown below shows how the money has been allocated:
Works and Housing: N262 billion

University Basic Education: 112 billion
Defence: N100 billion
Zonal Intervention Projects: N100 billion
Agriculture and Rural Devt: N83 billion

As is customary, the budget must still be approved by parliament before being signed into law by Buhari — a process that can take months.
