This is the Akure -Ilesha Expresswa;.the road has completely disappeared especially the stretch through Ilesha town.Muddy craters interspersed with dangerous pot holes are everywhere and motorists meander through without any care to right of way. So be careful if business or ‘Owanbe’ takes you through the road.Take caution from Akure or Ikire and drive defensively. The ife stretch of the road is also dangerously bad .

This to an appeal to FERMA, the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and the Osun State Government to rise up to the challenge and save motorists the needless agonies .
One only hopes that the recent approval by Federal Government of N75billion to fix the road by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), will not end up in mere promises as action on any road after FEC approval is predicated on the release of funds to carry out the repairs.
It will be recalled that in October last year, a similar N22 billion was approved by FEC for the rehabilitation of Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta Roads but till today, the roads remains in a sorry state as the announcement and approval only ended on the pages of newspapers on which it was written.No mobilisation for the onstruction giant, Julius Berger,which built the road in the first instance.
