Elder statesman and founding National Interim Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande has denied any rift  between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on one hand and President Muhammadu Buhari on the other hand.
He spoke exclusively to Newdawnngr in reaction to a report in one of the Sunday publications insinuating his awareness of the cause of perceived conflict of interest between the two parties.
The newspaper quoted it’s source as saying that former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Tinubu, had confronted, Professor Osinbajo accusing him of breach of faith while President Buhari had reportedly accused the vice president of not deferring to his authority on some decisions taken while he was on sick bed.
This development  unconfirmed report had attributed to withdrawal of some oversight functions of some government departments in the country including the formation of the new Economic Advisory council (EAC) as a replacement of the National Economic Council chaired by Vice President Osinbajo.
In his response Chief Akande said that neither President Buhari nor Osinbajo briefed him of anything between them.
Said he,”I live in Ila, Osun State. Neither Buhari nor Osinbajo briefed me about any feud between them. And Bola Tinubu told me nothing in that regard,”he declared.
It was believed that the feud is also in connection with Vice President Osibajo’s 2023, presidential ambition, which many believed is a clash of interest between him and Asiwaju Tinubu rumored to be positioning himself for the 2023 presidential election at the end of President Buhari’s tenure.
