How do other people attract the things they like to themselves and why can’t I? Why do I seem to get turned down so much when I’m looking for help? Do people see something in me that I do not see myself? The questions that inflate self doubt in us and reduce our resolve to succeed are a myriad. But there is one attitude we can adopt that takes care of all of them: The Law of attraction! Now you may have heard of it before, but my job today is to so simplify this law, so that you can use it to improve your business relationships, personal relationships and of course association generally. All thoughts turn into things. If you focus on the negative you possibly get gloom and doom coming your way. But if you focus on the positive good things come your way. This is not magic. Is simple logic. Are you one of those people who allow personal tragedies or misfortunes to ruin their lives? We all ought to know that there is no perfect life anywhere. Some people think there are groups of people in this world who have endless joy without pain. There are no such people. Life is a valley sometimes and a mountain other times. We ought to prepare ourselves for both situations so we can handle them as they come our way. Niestche the German philosopher said: “that which does not kill us, only makes us stronger!” Mandy Harvey came to fame by performing a song on America’s Got Talent with Simon Cowell and other judges watching. The exceptional thing about Mandy is she is deaf! But rather than focus on her disability, she focused on her ability and sang, playing a guitar, a song she wrote herself. The song is titled “Try!” It chronicles her experience losing her hearing at age 18 and facing the challenge of playing an instrument and singing when she cannot hear! But Mandy found a way. By age 29 she was back. Taking off her shoes at a performance to feel the vibrations of the music she was playing and being backed by a keyboard player and a bass guitarist she wowed an audience and gained recognition for her efforts. She attracted fans to herself because she focused on the bright side of her life. She “tried” and it paid off. She could have of focused on her deafness and decided that it’s not going to work out. Of course, it wouldn’t if that is what she decided. Life is full of peaks and valleys. You are up today you are down tomorrow, but if you can just look for the rainbow, focus on the good, think about what you want and find a way to personify the situation you want to create, you find that life eventually gives you what you want. Someone said: “I will either find a way or make a way; I won’t sit still and allow life to overwhelm me”. If Mandy Harvey’s story is exceptional then Kodi Lee’s story is extraordinary. Kodi was born blind and autistic. While growing up he found it difficult to do the normal things that children do. But his parents didn’t give up on him. One day they chanced on Kodi listening to some music. His eyes were enlarged by the sounds and soon he begun to sing and train on how to use the piano. Kodi Lee also appeared on an edition of America’s got talent and he wowed judges and the audience with his singing prowess. What are you giving up on today?
What doubts do you have about yourself? It is time to put away those doubts and replace them with confidence. Look at the bright side of life no matter how gloomy things are and you will be surprised what effect it has on your total demeanor. Enjoy the work that you do and people will be attracted to you. The Chinese say, “If you cant smile, don’t open a shop!” Now that you know this secret, its time to put it into practice it.
The first thing you need to do is visualize. Suppose you set goals for yourself. Picture yourself achieving those goals over and over again. Let it be the picture you have created in your mind. Read new material that offers positive analysis about your goal. If you do this regularly you will not only be more informed about it, it will become clearer in your mind and several possible approaches about how you can achieve what you have been thinking about will come to mind. Apart from that you need to consistently remind yourself that what you are focusing on is achievable by repeatedly affirming it to yourself. We only recently mentioned the power of positive affirmations in a separate write up. Finally, be an optimist. There is a group of people known as the optimists an official gathering of men and women who profess to spread optimism wherever they are and try to act positively. This is their creed. Why don’t you adopt it today? Promise yourself: To be strong that nothing will disturb your piece of mind . To talk health happiness and prosperity to everyone you meet. To make all your friends feel there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only best. To be just as enthusiastic of the success of others as you are of your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance every time and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, to noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
