Ahead of inauguration of ninth National Assembly, Deputy Senate President of eight Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe have backed the aspiration of Senator Ahmad Lawan as Senate President.
Lawan group had on Saturday unveiled 61 Senators-elect of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporting the candidacy of Ahmad Lawan candidacy.
The group also revealed that 37 All Progressive Congress (APC) Senators-elect elect are supporting Lawan.
The Senators-elect of PDP caucus on Sunday openly endorsed Lawan candidacy.
Other present at the meeting are Senator Dino Melaye, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, Senator Utazi Chukwuka.
