Buhari confirms Adamu as substantive IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday confirmed Mohammed Adamu as the substantive Inspector General of Police after a closed-door meeting .

The confirmation was sequel to the recommendation by the Police Service Commission (PSC). in State House, Abuja.

The meeting which was held at state House had 36 states governors in attendance with chairman of the PSC, Musliu Smith.

Adamu was appointed acting IGP on the January 15 this year by President Buhari. With his confirmation, Adamu becomes the 20th IGP the country has produced.
