Campaign billboards disappear from Lagos streets

In what looks like compliance to Lagos State Signage and Advertising Authority (LASSA’s) tough stance to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) alleged request to turn his political campaign billboards strategically placed in parts of Lagos State into a commercial one, the senator may have directed that the billboards be pulled down especially those in Fagba, Iju and Ogba areas of the state.

The imposing billboards had announced the presence of the senator who is currently representing the people of Lagos West Senatorial District.

The once he placed in Alimosho, especially around Idum Road Roundabout, have equally disappeared to God knows where.

However, if you think that only the posters and billbords belonging to the senator alone have been pulled down, then you might not have been observing well

That of other politicians have also been cleared. Even their posters on road medians, public and private walls, have been removed thus making the city cleaner.

However, one thing remains unknown, whether they are been removed by officials of LASSA or the affected politicians

Senator Adeola had been accused recently of plotting the sack of Mobolaji Lawal, LASSA boss for turning down his request to upgrade the billboards to commercial ones, an accusation his media aide denied and said was not correct.
