Ogun State High Court 4 presided over by Hon. Justice Onafowokan has granted an Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining the Defendants/Respondents, their agents, privies or any other persons acting through them from suspending, removing and /or dissolving the Claimants as Chairman of the 10th to 15th Defendants/Respondents Local Govt/LCDA or in any way remove the Claimants from their offices or taking any step that prejudices or undermines the occupation of the various offices of the Claimants/Applicants pending the hearing and determination of the Originating Summons.
The Chairmen had approached the court ahead of the last Saturday’s governorship election seeking protection of the court from being removed from office by Governor Amosun. The order also nullified the purported removal of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Ogun Waterside LG.
