The SUG President further complained bitterly about how the students are sitting at home for the past two months because ASUU and SSANU have refused to resume academics and Government is not pragmatic neither proactive about it.

He said further, “some of us are trusted by our fellows in campus and we are not ready to betray their trust, we shall mobilize and confront any form of oppression against Nigerian students, one of the way to do this is to vote the right candidate in the next election”.

While responding to the students’ leaders, OGO expressed his sincere willingness to help alleviate the agony of Nigerian students, he confidently told them that he is a candidate to be trusted, according to him, “Among all the candidates, I represent a generation that is closest to the younger generation, I know their pains and feelings, demanding for better education and infrastructure is not too much, if elected, I will make sure that our students get the best of all they needed”, he added.

Speaking further, he promised to rehabilitate a school in every ward in the state as part of efforts to arrest the falling standard of education, especially at the primary and second art school levels adding that the present state of education in the state cannot take the state higher.
He said that if the state must retain its position as the leading light in education in the country urgent measures have to be taken to improve the dilapidating infrastructures in public schools and also boost the morale of teachers who are owed salaries for months.
