Akeredolu spoils Ilaje kids with Xmas gifts

The wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu today felicitated with children from Ilaje axis of the state at a special Christmas gift presentation, marking the yuletide season for Ondo state children.
The Christmas outreach was organized by the office of the wife of Ondo State Governor, in conjunction with Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials, FOWOSO and Olori connection to put smiles on the faces of Ondo state Children and show them love at Christmas.
Mrs. Akeredolu described the special session with Ilaje children as a very unique one as there was a huge turn out of kids from across Ilaje Local Government area.
The special gift presentation for kids by the Ondo state Governor’s wife had earlier held at Oka Akoko, Akoko South East Local government and Idanre Local government.
In her speech at Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local government, Mrs. Akeredolu said the essence of the Christmas season is to show love, hence the resolve of the office of the Governor’s wife to cater for the special needs of the young ones by making sure they are showered with gifts at the yuletide.
Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu equally advised the kids to concentrate on their studies and to make sure that they did not drop out of school after primary school, stressing that the kids should endeavor to make it to the higher institution after their primary and secondary school learning.
She reiterated that the state government is most passionate about the education of children of schooling age in the state.
Among the side attraction at the event were dancing competition where the best four dancers were handsomely rewarded with cash gifts, the special dance session of the Governor’s wife with FOWOSO members and presentation of gifts to the children.
The Governor’s wife has this to say about the event, “Santa Arabinrin in Ilaje: My last port of call in putting smiles on the faces of our children at the grassroots with Xmas goodies. Ilaje was a lot of fun. The children were excited and immediately took to dancing to showcase their dance skills. We discovered some talents and Arabinrin appreciated them with cash gifts. In addition, I found a “grandson” who did everything I did. I waved, he waved too. Lol! He was among the best dancers. I must commend Mrs. Aworetan, wife of former caretaker chairmen, Ilaje LG.
