Dignitaries, faces of winners at the 13th Wole Soyinka award for investigating reporting

Twelve winners and runners-up were awarded various monetary prizes at this year’s event which took place in Lagos weekend.

Among the recipients is Abdul Azeez Abdul Azeez of Premium Times, who emerged the winner in the Online category and overall winner for his story on the NYSC certificate saga of former finance minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.


Others are Mojeed Alabi of New Telegraph who clinched the best investigative story in the Print media while Sharon Ijasan of Television Continental-TVC, also emerge as the winner in the Television category.

Special award for recognition for their contributions to Media development was given to Chairman of Channels Television, Mr John Mommoh and Mr Waziri Adio, Executive Secretary of Nigeria Extractive Industry Initiative.
