PDP Presidential primaries: Saraki, Mark lobby IBB

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki will on Sunday stormed Minna Niger state to campaign for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates ahead of the party’s Presidential primary scheduled to hold on October 5-6.

This is even as the immediate past Senate President, Senator David Mark consulted the former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida in Minna Hilltop mansion for his presidential ambition.

Saraki on his part is expected to meet with delegates in Minna at the PDP Niger state Secretariat  at around 10: am with his campaign team.

Details of senator Marks meeting with former President Babangida is yet to be made public same as Senator Saraki but it is not unconnected with their lobby to gain the former presidents support ahead their party’s primaries and convention

It could be recalled that Senator  Mark served as Minister of Telecommunications under Babangida’s administration and it will be remembered for a statement credited to him that Telephone is not meant for poor.

Saraki and Mark are from North Central region of the country and both are vying for the PDP ticket.
