A burning tanker which was laden with fuel has rendered thousands of travellers stranded in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
Eye witness accounts showed that the tanker which was heading towards Iwo Road along the Tollgate-Iwo Road Highway caught fire at the Academy Area.
Officials of the fire service who arrived at the scene of the incident fought to put out the fire but not until a substantial part of the fuel truck has been badly burnt.
As at the time of filing this report, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were seen trying to clear the debris created by the inferno.
FRSC officials had brought a towing vehicle to move away the burnt truck as part of the efforts to restore normalcy to the road
