He took a swipe on President Buhari for not  being broad minded and open enough to attract good hands to run the country but instead rely on recycled hands who have no fresh ideas to move the nation forward.

Said he,” I have not seen anywhere in the world where a president represent the same set of people who could not deliver in the first term for a second term”.
For him, the new composition to be inaugurated tomorrow doesn’t have what it takes to take Nigeria to the next Level because they have no level for now.
“I have not seen any change for now and they said they want to move to the next level. What is your level now. he asked.
General Williams said the country has enough materials to be able to solve its problems but lacks required leadership to bring this about.

He said that even in the United states, where the nation borrowed its system, no president will represent same set of people for a second tenure.

He said after four years in office, President Buhari has proved not to be a saint, which his party wanted Nigerians to belief in 2015.

“He is not street wise and since he left government in 1985, he has completely not been in touch with the polity. He never really exposed himself before he became a civilian president and he lacked the world view a president of a country like Nigeria should have”
To him, since the President lacked the above qualities he cannot have a clear vision, which is needed by any leader to lift Nigeria up among other comity of nations.
He said that the only way to move Nigeria forward is to change the nations constitution to parliamentary system adding “the foundation of good governance rest in the instrument of operation and the presidential system has failed to give hope to Nigerians for a better system.
General Williams who resigned his commission on account of late General Sanni Abacha’s failure to de-annul June 12 presidential election said the two dominant political parties, the All Peoples Congress (APC) and the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have failed to live up to expectation as they contain same set of politicians in different parties.

He contended that the ruling APC has not brought any desired change they promised before election in 2015 saying the party is an Alliance of political crooks while he likened the opposition party as politicians Deceiving the People.
He said the APC lost its steam the moment it’s chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, said that all who have sinned are welcome in the APC saying, “the moment you come into the APC, all your sins are forgiven”.
