The rank of Nigerian appointees into the cabinet of incoming President Joe Biden is swelling with Thursday’s naming of Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo as White House Associate Counsel.
She will serve as one of the President’s legal advisers.
Funmi is daughter of Prof Zacheus Olorunipa who hails from Kaba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State in North Central Nigeria.
Her brother Toluse Olorunipa is the current Correspondent of Washington Post at the White House.
A graduate of Berkeley Law Centre, she lives in Washington with her husband and son.
