Rawlings for burial January 27


The government of Ghana has finally fixed January 27 for the burial of the late former President and statesman.
This message was contained in memo released by the country’s ministry of foreign affairs.
According to the memo to the Diplomatic community,the laying in state of the late leader will now be held from 24th to 26 January at the Foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC) from 900am to 5pm while the Mass will take place on January 26 from 900am to 11am at the Holy Spirit cathedral,Accra.
The burial service will take place on 27th January,2021 from 9am to11am at the Independence Square,Accra.
The foreign ministry convey the renewal of accreditation to all Diplomatic missions and international organisations.
It will be recalled that the burial of the late leader who passed away last year was delayed due to some domestic family issues.
