COVID-19: Ogun records two new index cases from Abeokuta, Ifo

Ogun state Monday records two new index cases from residents of Ifo and Abeokuta after testing at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi- Aba Abeokuta, .

According to the hospital’s Head of Public Relations and Information, Segun Orisajo, the two latest cases are adult men.

Orisajo said their results test returned positive few minutes ago.

He explained that, the first was a 36 years-old male who resides in Ifo. He was referred from a private hospital on account of difficulty in breathing and sore throat.

He added that, he was admitted in the Centre last Thursday and subsequently screened on out- patient basis.

He said the second was a 46 year-old male who lives in Ake, Abeokuta.

Orisajo stressed that, the equally presented himself at the hospital last Thursday with fever and difficulty in breathing.

He however said arrangements are being made for their evacuation to the Ogun State Isolation centre for further management.
