Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA), has washed its hands off some statements circulating on several platforms on the social media including Whatsapp and Facebook, which dueled on the dastardly acts carried out by Okada riders on KWARTMA Headquarters on 18th June, 2019.

The social media posts have been castigating the present administration and engaging mudslinging.

But in a statement credited to Salihu Mohammed,  the agency unequivocally said that KWARTMA and the entire KWARTMA staff have nothing whatsoever to do with those statements and articles.

KWARTMA believes in professionalism as civil servants and taking proper courses in achieving progress as may be adopted by the State Government.

It is our finding to Salihu Mohammed, the press secretary to the chief executive officer of KWARMA, the agency ssid that the statements are deliberate and are issued without the interest and knowledge of KWARTMA.

“It may interest members of the public and relevant stakeholders, that the individuals or groups peddling these rumours that high powered government delegation led by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport had visited the Agency to assess the level of damages done to KWARTMA and sympathize with the Chief Executive Officer and the staff over the incident. The delegation has assured the Agency that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

“We charge all well-meaning individuals and groups to aid in disregarding, discouraging and stopping all statements and articles which are designed to paint KWARTMA as anti-government.

“KWARTMA’s loyalty and dedication to the State Government and the current administration is extant, unwavering and unflinching as we continue to put in our best by carrying out our statutory responsibilities without fear or favour.”
