The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has debunked the story milling around that he has pitched tent with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Adebutu made this clarification on Monday through Dayo Rufai, Associate Media Team Head, Ladi Adebutu Democratic Organisation. He said it is unthinkable for a leading governorship candidate in a contest to ditch his party on the eve of an election.

Adebutu stated that though, he enjoys personal relationship with other governorship candidates in the state, this should not be misconstrued as working for such candidates or their parties.

The governorship hopeful added further that he started touring all the wards in the state few weeks ago in a bid to identify the needs of the people, in order to find lasting solution to challenges facing them when he gets into office.

“The report in a section of the mainstream media and social media about my purported directive to PDP faithfuls in Ogun State to team up with APM only exists in the imagination of those peddling the rumour. It is on record that we have gone far and wide in the state to identify with the people of the state at all levels.

It may interest you to note also that, we have been committed to making our people comfortable through personal efforts, which we intend to step up when our party becomes the ruling party right from the federal to the local government levels.

Over 201 units of 500Kva transformers have been donated to different communities across the LG areas, among other empowerment schemes.”

Adebutu however urged the PDP faithfuls and the good people of Ogun State to remain steadfast, more determined and unshaking in their belief of a better Ogun State by voting for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in the next general elections.
