A former Commissioner for Information in Kaduna State, Nuhu Sani Ibrahim, has resigned from his party, the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
The former commissioner served under the former governor Ahmed Makarfi between 2000 to 2007.
He announced his membership withdrawal in a statement dated December 27, 2018.
Ibrahim, who did not state his next move, said he was resigning his membership because of what he described as the “high level of impunity, arrogance, God-fatherism, exclusion going on in PDP in the state.”
Said he,”It is a known fact that a section of the party has hijacked the party reducing it to a potential regional political party, where those of us with the idea of national cohesion and development will have no place.”
“The PDP is going into elections as a silent crises ridden party. There is no unity and genuine reconciliation while the party’s candidates are left to their fate with no serious support from those that mattered.” He declared
‘According to him,”The party is unfortunately living on its past glories. For these and many more reasons, I have no option than to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP and return my registration card,”
He said the letter had been copied to his Ward chairman.
